The process of maintaining low top work boots is essential to make sure they don’t break down sooner than they should.
The good news is that it’s pretty easy to follow:
- Take a brush and brush off as much dirt and dust as you can
- Take another brush, dip it in water, mix it with saddle soap until bubbles appear, and brush the boots with the soap (be thoroughly in this step)
- Wipe the saddle soap off with a clean cloth
- Massage a light layer of leather conditioner with your fingers and let the conditioner nourish the boots for about 15 minutes
- Clean the conditioner residue with a clean cloth
- (Optional) Apply a leather wax on the boots (with your fingers) and lightly buff with a brush
- Done! Your low top work boots will look as good as new!
